Our Members

The purchase of The Old Police Station was only made possible thanks to the incredible generosity and commitment of our members, who provided every penny needed to acquire and transform the building into a community asset we can all be proud of.

Today, our Society is supported by 179 dedicated members who together have subscribed over £480,000 in withdrawable membership shares. We’re especially grateful to the 44 members who have each invested £2,500 or more and, in recognition of their significant support, receive annual interest on their investment (currently set at 2% p.a.).

Every member’s contribution — large or small — has played a vital role in bringing new life to this important building, and we extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for believing in this project and making it a reality.

Our Volunteers

We are also incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated group of volunteers — some of whom are directors of the Society, investing members, or simply supportive and generous members of the local community — all who have played an essential part in turning the vision for The Old Police Station into reality.

Their time, skills and hard work have been invaluable: from dismantling parts of the building, removing debris, cleaning and recycling bricks, painting, and lifting and re-laying floorboards, to tackling a host of other labouring jobs. Their efforts have also extended to more specialist tasks, such as repairing the Cotswold stone wall in the community garden and carrying out fencing work.

Looking ahead, we know we will continue to rely on this wonderful volunteer spirit — to help care for the community garden and carry out ongoing maintenance tasks as they arise.

We are deeply grateful for all that our volunteers have done and all that they will help us achieve in the future.
